    Dear Angie and Will,
    There are few words that can describe our heavy hearts as we share in your struggle. That is why we turn to God’s word – the only place that brings ultimate hope and comfort in the face of the unthinkable grief and anguish. We are praying with you and asking for God to pour out mercies in abundance for you both.

    Much Love and prayers,
    Claire and Eugene

    Psalm 86
    Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me,

    for I am poor and needy.

    2 Preserve my life, for I am godly;

    save your servant, who trusts in you—you are my God.

    3 Be gracious to me, O Lord,

    for to you do I cry all the day.

    4 Gladden the soul of your servant,

    for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

    5 For you, O Lord, are good and pforgiving,

    qabounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.

    6 rGive ear, O Lord, to my prayer;

    listen to my plea for grace.

    7 In sthe day of my trouble I call upon you,

    tfor you answer me.

    8 There is unone like you among the gods, O Lord,

    vnor are there any works like yours.

    9 wAll the nations you have made shall come

    and worship before you, O Lord,

    and shall glorify your name.

    10 For xyou are great and ydo wondrous things;

    zyou alone are God.

    11 aTeach me your way, O Lord,

    that I may bwalk in your truth;

    cunite my heart to fear your name.

    12 I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart,

    and I will glorify your name forever.

    13 dFor great is your steadfast love toward me;

    Will, I don’t know if you remember me, but Suzy & I were in NYC watching “scratch trak” perform and then later that summer you came to my house & watched the Pistons basketball game :) Your talent is explosive & you have barely scratched the surface of what you are capable of. I pray that God wraps his arms around you, your wife & family. I pray that you feel relief soon, heal completely & continue to share your gift with the world.

    I am Linda Casale. Will, I heard about your battle with cancer from Melissa Bean who lives next door.

    I am saddened you and your family are having to go through this. I lost both my parents to cancer so I know some of what you are going through. I read your story and comments from well wishers. Lots of love and prayers coming your way. Will and Angie, please know I am also praying for you.

    Will, the song Blake Shelton sings on his new album is awesome!

    Been a long time. Got the news, standing in prayer with you and your family today. Mentioned you to some guys this past week, still think of my first encounter with your passionate music. Just standing with you, having done all, it’s all we have…

    Will and Angie,
    When my husband Glenn was diagnosed with Hodgekins lymphoma, stage 4b, 18 years ago, I was a baby Christian asked to take some gigantic steps of faith. He is healthy, now. As you heard me pray, this is a testimony that God is not a God of statistics. And nothing is impossible with God.
    I feel compelled to tell you that my favorite ‘verse’ was a hodge podge mantra. By God’s grace both Glenn and I, and our two kids enjoyed our precious time together. God delivered us, for the most part, from fear and speculation, to stay ‘full’ in the moment with His Spirit of hope that brings joy; just laying the burden before Jesus who bore our sins, sorrows, and infirmities–Glenn’s intense suffering– on the cross. These weren’t joyful times, just joyful to have hope for a future. In God, we found thanksgiving for so much.
    “Whatsoever is true…think on these things.” Phil. 4:8
    Just those words over and over… not always the whole verse. Many times and in the waiting, it was a disciplined exercise.
    I appreciate you sharing your precious faith together, in your intensely difficult journey. May Jesus be your confidence and carry every burden as you walk with Him. *S.

    Dear Will and Angie,
    Susie Bowman asked us to be praying for you. We are part of the “FOCUS family” from 1980-83. Please know that we will be lifting you up before the throne of grace each night. Shirleen’s current Bible study mentioned the story of Gideon. He asked the angel of the Lord, “Why has all this bad stuff happened to your people?” He didn’t really receive an answer, just the words, “God will be with you, mighty warrior.” Gideon knew he was no mighty warrior, but, of course, with God’s guidance (which often didn’t make sense to our human understanding), Gideon was able to accomplish God’s purpose for his life.

    Part of our prayer for you is that God will bring much good out of your suffering and challenges. We don’t always know what God is doing to bring out “something good” but we know, because of His Word, that He will.

    May the God of all comfort wrap each of you in a cocoon of His deep peace and never-failing love.

    In the mighty Name of Jesus,
    David and Shirleen Becker

    Will and Angie,

    I just learned of this … I am praying as I fly across country today, and will continue to do so daily, hourly for you both.

    My father had sinus cancer about ten years ago — had a prosthesis (sp?) and all the radiation/chemo/weight loss/trouble speaking and eating … by God’s grace he was healed of that cancer.

    Peace and comfort and grace and healing to you both.
