The Next Step Of Treatment — We Need Your Help

First and foremost (and frankly, most importantly), Will is still alive.

Not only is he still alive, but he is mentally alert — full of conversation, both sentimental and light-hearted.

That being said, we suspect the cancer remains inside, and could very well be spreading.

If nothing else, the pain grows, which brought the Grays to the conclusion that Will’s body demands a change.

On Friday, I (Allison) received a phone call from Angie briefing me on the next step she and Will were hoping to take. Then my husband, Josh, and I sat with both Angie and Will on Saturday to discuss the importance of this next move to them… as well as to discuss just how significant an “ask” this phase would bring.

Will and Angie are headed on a plane this coming Wednesday, June 5, to Arizona. There, Will will undergo the next level of treatment akin to the care Angie has been giving since Will was discharged from UCLA and hospice was called in. However, this treatment center — An Oasis of Healing — goes even further and blends both Western medical treatments with alternative treatments. It feels complete to them, and is exactly what they feel Will needs to move closer towards total healing.

The trouble is, it’s not covered by insurance. Nor is it cheap.

When Angie presented the option to me, she said, “Do you think this is something some people might want to support?”

I felt like that was almost a silly question — of COURSE we’d support the opportunity for Will to move towards a pain-free, cancer-free healing!

So, we set up a fundraiser.

For some reason, Josh and I have complete confidence that the #GoTeamGray network will be able to stretch its arms wide and embrace the Grays not only in prayer, but in financial aid.

You may not realize how many people are seeing this website every day — if even half the daily visitors to GoTeamGray.com were able to donate $25 each, we’d meet our goal in one day.

So just imagine what would happen if we all gave.

So, don’t just give $25. Give more. Give up your Starbucks for a month. Why not?

Also, please spread the word.

And then say a prayer.

Know that every single dollar donated via the website will go directly into Will and Angie’s bank account. (The website doesn’t even charge fees.) Additionally, any snail mail you send to the Grays will be forwarded to their temporary Arizona address.

We are blessed to be a part of this amazing network of people who want to see the end of cancer in the Grays’ lives. Let’s do this!

I am a Union alum who lives here in the Phoenix metro area and my family and I would love to do anything at all for Will and Angie… I don’t know of what that could be. Please let me know if a vehicle needs to be borrowed long-term, meals are needed, a home for respite, anything….Just say the word. You can reach me at jerinmitchell7@gmail.com.

So excited for you!! God always goes ahead and leads the way. Keep looking unto Jesus for your healing. We support your decision and will continue to pray for all these efforts to work together for Will’s good. When the efforts of man are prayerfully blended with the hand of God, good things will happen. Take the step of faith that God is giving you. Perhaps all the TLC Angie has given has prepared Will to be able to make this trip. Please keep us all informed of the plans. Our blessings and prayers go with you.
